Education:
    • Master of Business Management (MBM) in Human Resource Management
    • Bachelor of Business Studies (BBS) in Human Resource Management
    • Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Management
  • Master's/Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management, Management, or a relevant field.

  • 2 to 5 years of proven experience in HR & Administration.

  • Prior experience in Shipping Companies, Group of Companies, or similar industries will be given preference.

  • Exposure to shipping documentation, Ghat & Yard management, fire safety management, and Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) is an added advantage.

  • Strong knowledge of HR functions, labor laws, and office management.

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to multitask.

  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

  • Ability to work independently, proactively, and professionally.

  • Capable of handling labor unrest or emergency situations calmly and lawfully.



Responsibilities & Context:
  • Oversee HR and administrative functions related to a fleet of 50 inland lighter vessels, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, and compliance.

  • Monitor and manage daily HR and administrative activities of vessel staff.

  • Maintain and regularly update vessel-related documentation with BIWTA and other relevant authorities.

  • Ensure smooth operations across lighter vessels, Ghat, garage, and warehouse, including facility and supply management.

  • Administer payroll, benefits, attendance, leave management, and resolve related issues in a timely manner.

  • Organize and coordinate training programs to improve staff efficiency, safety, and compliance with operational standards.

  • Prepare and present HR and administrative reports to management.

  • Develop, implement, and update HR and administrative policies, procedures, and systems to improve operational efficiency.

  • Ensure compliance with labor laws, health and safety standards, and company policies.

  • Coordinate effectively between vessel operations, shipping lines, Ghat activities, and management for seamless workflow.

  • Perform other special assignments or tasks as directed by management.
