Responsibilities & Context:

Job Context:

Meghna Pulp and Paper Mills Ltd. (MPPML) one of the sister concerns of Meghna Group of Industries (MGI) which involves in producing Stationaries and hygiene products (e.g. Tissue Products, Paper, Baby Diaper, Baby Wipes, Sanitary Napkin), A4 papers, Industrial papers, etc. Currently, we are looking for some proactive and skilled professionals in the mechanical department of MPPML. This position will be responsible for performing day-to-day mechanical maintenance activities and the incumbent will report to the functional head for the daily duties and responsibilities.

Job Description:

  • Maintain and oversee the smooth operation of all machinery within the paper plant, ensuring optimal production efficiency, minimal downtime, and cost-effectiveness while adhering to safety protocols and quality standards.

  • Optimize production processes and efficiently allocate resources by managing material planning, procurement, and job scheduling within the plant.

  • Coordinate and oversee the mechanical maintenance and utilities teams to ensure smooth operation of equipment and facilities within the plant.

  • Enhance machine performance and cost efficiency by implementing lubrication and machining techniques, resulting in increased productivity and reduced operational expenses within the plant.

  • Execute the erection and commissioning of machines as required, ensuring proper installation and functionality to facilitate seamless operations.

  • Mitigate machine downtime by promptly responding to machine faults, thereby maximizing productivity and ensuring uninterrupted operations.

  • Analyze trends to address repetitive problems through corrective measures and prepare mechanical instrument requisitions for preventive and regular maintenance.

  • Conduct daily safety briefings for subordinates, emphasizing safety guidelines and raising awareness about unsafe activities.

  • Ensure compliance with Standard requirements by keeping meticulous maintenance records and prepare detailed equipment performance and maintenance reports to facilitate informed decision-making and process improvement.
