Job Purpose
Responsible for leading the end-to-end delivery of the organisation’s civil and electrical construction portfolio, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to required quality, safety, and compliance standards.
Acts as the technical authority for translating designs into completed assets in full adherence to PPR 2008, BNBC, and BRAC policies, with overall accountability for execution, financial control, risk management, resource optimisation, and successful project handover.
Key Responsibilities
Lead integrated execution planning across all projects, ensuring seamless alignment between design, procurement, and site execution.
Drive optimal deployment of manpower, materials, and resources across multiple sites to ensure uninterrupted workflow and delivery readiness.
Anticipate and resolve site constraints, interdependencies, and resource gaps to ensure execution continuity.
Ensure end-to-end delivery of all civil and electrical projects in line with approved drawings, BOQs, specifications, and timelines.
Deliver projects on time and within budget through disciplined execution, strong monitoring, and readiness-based completion.
Enforce strict compliance with approved designs, BOQS and specifications, ensuring zero deviation unless formally approved through variation processes.
Establish and maintain robust QA/QC systems, eliminating major NCRs related to BNBC through rigorous inspections, testing, and continuous process improvement.
Ensure all financial transactions comply with approved BOQs, budgets, and BRAC guidelines, including timely review, verification, and approval of running bills and invoices aligned with actual physical progress without over-certification.
Monitor cost versus budget performance at both project and portfolio levels while ensuring timely bill processing and maintaining transparent documentation for audit and financial accountability.
Ensure close coordination with Procurement to secure timely availability of materials and services in line with the construction schedule, while ensuring compliance with technical specifications and quality standards, proactively mitigating risks of material shortages and lead-time delays, and preventing any work disruption due to procurement inefficiencies.
Act as the final technical authority for resolving site-level engineering challenges while managing risks across time, cost, quality, safety, and environment.
Lead and develop high-performing teams, ensure zero lost-time injuries (LTI), maintain strong stakeholder coordination, and drive structured reporting, project closure, and client handover excellence.
SAFEGUARDING RESPONSIBILITIES
Establish a safeguarding culture across all levels of the programme by implementing the safeguarding policy. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
Responsible to ensure team members are appropriately trained, supported and have access to resources regarding issues that are identified and implemented in accordance with the safeguarding policy and procedure.
Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place and encourage others to do so.
