Education:
Minimum B.Sc. in Civil Engineering from a reputable university.
M.Sc. in Construction Management, Structural Engineering, or an MBA in Operations/Project Management is highly preferred.
Professional Certifications:
Project Management Professional (PMP) or certifications from recognized national engineering bodies (e.g., IEB in Bangladesh).
Experience:
Minimum 10-15 years of hands-on experience in construction and real estate development, on which 5 years in a senior managerial role (e.g., Project Head, Construction Manager, or Chief Engineer).
Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) and ERP systems.

Job Responsibilities:

Leads, manages, and oversees all construction project phases from inception to handover.
Build and develop an In-House construction monitoring team for quality control and construction within the specified time frame.
Able to provide inputs for high-quality building finishing and overall construction management.
Construction management in Dhaka city is a must and Bashundhara area would be preferable.
Align construction timelines, methodologies, and technologies with the company's long-term business goals.
Collaborate with management during land acquisition to provide construction cost estimates and technical feasibility inputs.
Strategize allocation of manpower, machinery, and materials across multiple active project sites.
Implement modern construction technologies (like BIM, ERP software) to increase efficiency and reduce manual errors.
Review and finalize master budgets, Bills of Quantities (BOQ), and cash flow projections for all projects.
Monitor project expenses continuously to prevent cost overruns and maintain targeted profit margins.
Identify opportunities to reduce structural or material costs without compromising on architectural design or structural integrity.
Ensure all projects are completed on or before the scheduled handover dates using critical path methods (CPM/PERT).
Conduct regular site visits to audit progress, resolve critical engineering bottlenecks, and guide project managers.
Coordinate with procurement teams to ensure timely delivery of high-grade construction materials to avoid project stalls.
Oversee the bidding, evaluation, and selection process for general contractors, MEP subcontractors, and consultants.
Approve final contract terms, work orders, and review/certify milestone-based billing and invoices.
Work closely with Architectural Design, Sales, Marketing, and Legal teams to ensure construction matches marketing promises and legal layouts.
Establish strict QA/QC protocols to ensure structural stability, premium finishing, and aesthetic compliance.
Ensure all construction activities strictly adhere to national building codes, environmental regulations, and local municipal authority guidelines.
Implement rigid Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) policies across all active construction sites to achieve zero-accident targets.
Recruit, train, and mentor Project Managers, Site Engineers, and technical staff.
Set clear Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for the engineering team and conduct regular performance reviews.
