Responsibilities & Context:

Job Responsibilities

1. Site Execution & Supervision

• Oversee fabrication and erection of steel structures (columns, beams, trusses, purlins).

• Ensure work is carried out as per approved drawings and specifications.

• Coordinate daily site activities with contractors, supervisors, and workers.

• Monitor alignment, levels, and structural positioning.

  2. Drawing & Technical Handling

  • Study and interpret:

    • Structural drawings

    • Shop drawings

    • GA (General Arrangement) drawings

  • Identify discrepancies and report to design/consultant team.

  • Ensure correct bolt sizes, welding details, and connection types are followed.

    3. Quality Control

    • Inspect incoming materials (steel sections, bolts, plates).

    • Check:

      • Welding quality (visual inspection, NDT if required)

      • Bolt tightening (torque checks)

      • Surface treatment (painting, galvanizing)

      4. Planning & Coordination

      • Prepare daily/weekly work plans.

      • Coordinate with:

        • Fabrication yard

        • Crane operators

        • Other civil/MEP teams

    • Ensure materials and manpower are available as per schedule.
