Director - Process Improvement will be responsible for enhancing operational efficiency, reducing costs, and ensuring quality in the entire operation process. The key responsibilities for this role are:
Process Analysis and Optimization
Identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies in current processes
Conduct regular time and motion studies to optimize workflows
Streamline processes for manufacturing by reducing waste and improving resource utilization
Implement Lean Manufacturing principles and other methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma) to enhance production efficiency
Quality Assurance and Control
Collaborate with quality control teams to ensure high-quality standards are met for all accessories
Identify quality issues and implement corrective actions to prevent defects and rework
Develop quality metrics and conduct regular audits to ensure adherence to industry standards.
Cost Reduction and Efficiency Improvement
Analyze production costs and find ways to reduce expenses without compromising quality
Implement process automation and upgrade technology to achieve more efficient production
Collaborate with procurement and supply chain teams to source cost-effective materials and minimize lead times
Training and Development
Train employees in new process improvements and methodologies
Ensure the production team is well-versed in standard operating procedures (SOPs) and best practices
Conduct regular workshops and training sessions on Lean and Six Sigma methodologies
Data Analysis and Reporting
Collect and analyze production data to track improvement progress and identify trends
Prepare reports for management detailing process improvement initiatives, results, and ROI
Use data to forecast potential issues and propose proactive solutions
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with other departments, including production, quality control, supply chain, and procurement, to ensure cohesive operations
Act as a liaison between management and operational teams to align improvement strategies with business goals
Participate in strategic planning and contribute insights on how process improvements can meet long-term objectives
Sustainability
Implement sustainable practices to reduce the industry’s environmental footprint, such as waste reduction, recycling, and efficient resource use
Continuous Improvement Culture
