Job Responsibilities:
∎ Manage 150 cloud servers, execute tasks to improve reliability, and contribute towards achieving 99.99% uptime.
∎ Partner with development teams to improve services through rigorous testing and release procedures.
∎ Troubleshoot complex applications, databases, networks, and OS-related issues across a distributed large-scale customer-facing platform.
∎ Build software and systems to manage platform infrastructure and applications for greater scalability and redundancy.
∎ Measure and optimise system performance while constantly pushing our capabilities forward, getting ahead of clients' needs, and performing tasks for continuous improvement.
∎ What you have
∎ Over 5-6 years experience in DevOps, SRE or related domain
∎ Expertise in cloud solutions and virtualisation infrastructure, including AWS, Google Cloud Platform, or Alibaba Cloud
∎ Proficiency in Linux system administration and open-source applications such as Rsyslog, DHCP, iptables, Postfix, NGINX, and initialisation systems such as system and SysVinit
∎ Extensive experience in TCP/IP networking, firewalls, and VPNs
∎ Knowledge of hardware and software firewalls, intrusion detection methods, security systems, and DDoS protection
∎ A strong belief in Infrastructure as code (Chef, Ansible, or similar configuration management tools)
∎ Good scripting skills with Perl, Python, Bash, or other scripting languages to solve day-to-day operational challenges
∎ Proven track record of working with available and scalable distributed production systems
∎ Experience in:
∎ Site reliability engineering (SRE)
∎ Managing round-the-clock operations for incident resolution, including alerts, rotations, and escalations
∎ Designing and working with web service architecture
∎ Application containerisation (preferably Docker)
∎ Fluency in spoken and written English
Additional Requirements:
∎ Extensive knowledge of information security and data protection
∎ Experience in working with multi-cloud/hybrid environments
∎ Experience with Packer, Terraform, and Kubernetes
∎ Knowledge of industry-accepted IS standards
∎ Experience in:
∎ Hardening Linux systems
∎ CI tools such as Travis-CI, CircleCI, and Jenkins
∎ Documentation of processes and incidents
∎ Version Control software (Git)
∎ Windows Server Administration (IIS, MS-SQL)
Salary: Tk. 125000 - 250000 (Monthly)
