Understanding of textile and hosiery production processes and their utility requirements.
Ability to manage and optimize energy consumption in a manufacturing environment.
Experience in developing and implementing maintenance programs for industrial equipment.
Responsibilities & Context:
Monitor the daily operations of chiller, compressor, and boiler plants to ensure uninterrupted utility supply for production processes.
Monitor equipment performance, identify and troubleshoot issues, and implement corrective actions promptly.
Develop and implement emergency response plans for utility system failures, minimizing production downtime.
Execute a comprehensive preventive maintenance program for all utility equipment, aligning with production schedules.
Coordinate equipment inspections, repairs, and replacements, minimizing disruptions to operations.
Track and analyze equipment performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and optimize maintenance activities.
Ensure optimum utilization of energy like – power, air, steam, and water.
Develop and implement strategies to reduce energy consumption without compromising production quality or output.
Lead and develop a high-performing utility team, providing necessary training and development opportunities.
Foster a culture of safety and continuous improvement within the utility department.
Prepare and manage the utility department budget, ensuring cost-effective operations.
Ensure compliance with all relevant environmental, safety, and regulatory standards within the factory.
Prepare regular reports on utility system performance.
Collaborate with other departments to identify and address any utility-related issues impacting production.
