Responsibilities & Context:

This position is responsible for providing overall HR support to Bhasan Char project of Humanitarian Crisis Management Programme of BRAC. S/he will act as a HR partner between the sector and different HR units in coordination with HCMP HR team and ensure day to HR operations at Bhasan Char.

  • Working closely with various sectors of Bhasan Char assisting line managers to understand and implement policies and procedures

  • Liaising with a wide range of people involved in policy areas and ensure its compliance. Deal with employee requests regarding human resources issues, rules, and regulations

  • Design, develop and maintain the recruitment process, staff onboarding and ensure proper documentation

  • Facilitate HR operations i.e. leave, attendance, transfer, staff offboarding, payroll etc.

  • Organize and conduct different trainings and orientations on HR Policies and Procedures

  • Identify, retain & develop the talents of field offices by coordinating with the concerned sector and HR management

  • Ensure on time performance appraisal in qualitative manner

  • Maintain data archiving, analysis and generate reports based on requirement and ensure all compliances during the internal and external audit process

  • Promoting equality and diversity as part of the culture of the organisation

  • Frequent field visits to strengthen rapport with program staff and acquire knowledge on sectors

  • Ensure the safety of Programme Participants, people who come into contact with the organisation and team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) to achieve the programme`s goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment

  • Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action

  • Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place and encourage others to do so
