∎ JOB PURPOSE: To conduct initial environmental screening before the construction of RWHS and other interventions based on the `Environmental and Social Safeguard Framework (ESSF)` of BRAC.
∎ SAFEGUARDING RESPONSIBILITIES
∎ Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme`s goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
∎ Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
∎ Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Work in conducting initial environmental screening before the adaptation options construction
∎ Support to coordinate various knowledge sharing and advocacy initiative to assure understanding and visibility of the project and support to organize awareness, advocacy and result sharing/dissemination events inside and outside BRAC.
∎ Mapping and assessment report of existing BRAC climate actions, environmental and socio-economic aspect
∎ Support the programme development and grants management team through providing write up, concepts, data, analysis as appropriate
∎ Regularly monitor and keep an overview on national and international climate change science, adaptation, mitigation, and resilience-enhancing innovations

∎ Computer proficiency
∎ Ability to work under strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment
∎ Knowledge on environmental screening
∎ Knowledge on the global, regional, national policies on climate change actions
∎ Strong interpersonal and communication skills
∎ Demonstrated ability to work in a team and to develop networks and collaborations
∎ Analytical, problem-solving and decision-making capabilities
∎ Minimum 2 years of experience in relevant field
