Experience

  • Minimum 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in: Audit, assurance, tax.

  • Technical/research role in a professional body, firm, corporate entity.

  • Experience in handling IFRS/ISA-related matters will be preferred

Core Competencies

  • Strong technical knowledge of IFRS, IAS, ISA, and regulatory frameworks

  • Excellent research, analytical, and drafting skills

  • Strong written and verbal communication in English

  • Ability to interpret complex standards and simplify for practical use

  • Stakeholder management and coordination skills

  • Proficiency in MS Office and technical documentation tools

Position Details

  • Position Title: Deputy Director – Technical Standards & Research

  • Reporting to: Department Head of Technical Standards & Research

  • Employment Type: Permanent

Key Responsibilities

The Deputy Director – Technical Standards & Research will be responsible for:

  • Conduct research on IFRS, IAS, ISA, IPSAS, and ethical standards and prepare technical papers, briefs, and issue analyses.

  • Assist in resolving members’ queries on technical issues.

  • Assist in arranging and development of training budgets, materials, presentations.

  • Assist in organizing technical committee meetings and consultations (Prepare agendas, minutes, and follow-up actions).

  • Assist in preparation and submission of necessary reports/recommendations to government bodies.

  • Identify emerging areas (e.g., ESG reporting, sustainability, digital audit) for CPD programs and assist in organizing CPD programs.

  • Any other technical tasks assigned by the Department Head.
