Position Details

Position Title: Senior Assistant Director

(The Database Administrator) reporting to the Additional Director of Digital & Technology Department.

Employment Type: Permanent Position.

Key Responsibilities

• The Senior Assistant Director (The Database Administrator) will be responsible for:

• Administer and maintain Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, MariaDB databases and APEX (Application Express) development.

• Knowledge of.NET Framework, ASP.NET, C#, Web API, and application architecture.

• Experience in Frontend and Backend Software Technologies including HTML5, CSS3, Bootstrap, JavaScript, Angular/React, and REST APIs

• Manage installation, database configuration, upgrades, patching, and migration activities.

• Monitor database health, availability, performance, and capacity planning.

• Implement and maintain Oracle RAC, Data Guard and Disaster Recovery environments.

• Perform database backup, restoration, recovery testing, and business continuity planning.

• database performance Conduct monitoring, tuning and query optimization.

• Ensure database security, user access management, auditing, and compliance.

• Collaborate with software development teams for database design, API integration, and application deployment.

• Develop automation scripts for database administration and monitoring tasks.

• Familiarity with DevOps, CI/CD, Git, API Integration, Deployment. and Application

• Experience Administration, with Linux/Unix Shell Scripting, PowerShell, and Automation Tools.

• Ensure optimal performance, security, and reliability of all database and application system
