Educational Requirements:
∎ B.Sc. Engineering in CSE/CS from any recognized and reputed university.
∎ Master’s degree in CSE /CS from a recognized and reputed university.
∎ OR Professional Certification in ICT
Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 14 year(s)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ To support the ICT Director in the development and implementation of the
∎ University’s software-related strategic plans, policies, and procedures
∎ To develop a strategy for the team to meet the University’s goals and objectives,
∎ and to improve the quality of the service it delivers internally and externally
∎ Creating and maintaining a professional culture within the team, where
∎ individuals take ownership and are fastidious and proud of delivering excellence
∎ and quality
∎ To lead and manage a team of senior software developers and software
∎ developers
∎ Day to day support of the Integrated University Management System (IUMS)
∎ To review project progress and overview of the performance of all individuals in
∎ the team
∎ To coaching and performance management where necessary
∎ To facilitate technology and methodology decision making throughout the team,
∎ including standardization of system architecture, reusable code base
∎ development, versions of software tools, best practice, source control, and
∎ deployment processes
∎ To have a clear task list and plan for inducting new members into the team and
∎ bring them up-to-speed as quickly as possible
∎ To drive consistent standards and approaches throughout the team
∎ To write clean and healthy structured, well-documented code
∎ To build future-proof reusable core code libraries, which can be shared, in order
∎ to drive further efficiencies throughout the team
∎ To design and build database schemas with integrity and scalability with data
∎ access layers that are optimized for performance and security
∎ To contribute regularly to discussions regarding the internal process and system
∎ improvements in order to ensure maximum efficiency across the University.
∎ Including suggesting technical solutions to problems
∎ Coordinating a group of software teams for timely delivery of ongoing projects.
∎ Set overall software development and maintenance standards, deploy financial
∎ and skilled human resources to implement and maintain high-level layers of
∎ software security across the entire university information technology system.
∎ Provide expertise and support during systems upgrades, installations,
∎ conversions, and file maintenance.
∎ Assessing workload of sections and activities, reassigning staff, and evaluating
∎ and modifying work assignments as necessary
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 40 to 45 years
∎ 40-45 years; the Age limit may be relaxed for the highly experienced and competent
∎ candidates
∎ At least 14 years of proven working experience in the IT sector, preferably in the
∎ university sector.
∎ A senior-level software engineer with strong and successful technical lead
∎ experience.
∎ Experience in leading a team of developers
∎ Advanced level (knowledge and experience) of programming languages and
∎ methodologies.
∎ Basic understanding of JVM, its limitations, weaknesses, and workarounds.
∎ Proficient in Java with a good knowledge of its ecosystems
∎ Proactive and highly organized, with strong time management and planning
∎ skills
∎ Able to meet tight deadlines and remain calm under pressure
∎ Experience in advising key stakeholders at the senior and board level
∎ Strong Leadership, professional attitude – and leading by example
∎ Passionate about Software Development, with a general thirst for digital
∎ knowledge and a significant interest in new emerging technologies
∎ Ability to solve problems quickly and completely
∎ Ability to multi-task and stay organized in a dynamic work environment
∎ Reliable, flexible, and cooperative
∎ Experience in a docker container system
∎ Knowledge in Spring framework
∎ Must have knowledge in a microservice architecture
∎ Familiarity with continuous integrations
Salary:
∎ Salary Scale: 42,700-2,700x15-83,200 + other allowances + Technical Allowance equal
to 4 yearly increments.
Other Allowances mean 65% House Rent + 10% Conveyance + 10% Medical Allowance
Higher initial pay may be offered to highly experienced and competent candidates.
