Job Responsibilities:
∎ The Opportunity:
∎ This position is mainly responsible for managing the comprehensive evidence-based research and learning system in line with Suchana goal and objectives, and ensure the system operates smoothly during the remaining programme period to achieve Suchana's long-term goal and short-term outcomes. Another important purpose of this position is to implement the Annual Implementation Plan (AIP) for MEAL & KM in Suchana engaging consortium MEAL team at the field level.
∎ The Deputy Director-MEAL & Research will be further responsible for developing/adapting M&E tools and methods, providing training, guidance and technical support to Suchana's field-based MEAL team to operationalize M&E on the ground. S/he will also provide guidance/suggestions in developing various evaluation strategies in collaboration with consortium partners and external evaluators. S/he will need to ensure that Suchana M&E is aligned with DFID and EU M&E requirements and will maintain necessary coordination with SCi MEAL structure as well as other coalition member's M&E structure across the Suchana consortium.
Additional Requirements:
∎ At least 8 years of experience in a related field of which 3 years in management position. Experience in M&E preferably in the field of food security, maternal child health and nutrition, and disaster management.
∎ Should have clear concept on developing M&E system, implementation, data analysis, documentation and dissemination.
∎ Excellent communication skills both in English and Bengali
∎ Skilled in data management and analysis
∎ Should have ability to interpret data and report writing skills in English
∎ Should be proficient in computer operation, preferably in SPSS, STATA, R, MS-Excel, MS-Access, MS-PowerPoint, EPI-Info, Anthro, ArcGIS
