Educational Requirements:
∎ Master of Development Studies (MDS) in International Relations, Political Science, Public Administration, Economics, Peace and Conflict, Sociology
Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 8 year(s)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Prepare concept notes and develop research proposals; In this context, undertake desk research, examine, analyze relevant information and data;
∎ Examine the project contract documents and prepare the draft for signature;
∎ Lead the project team independently from team building to planning to monitoring and wrapping up of field activities and writing activity reports, as required; Also assist the Programme Manager in implementing the project activities, wherever required;
∎ Guide the field coordinators, as required, for effectively organizing the project activities and field familiarity will be an asset;
∎ Prepare guidelines, instructions and outlines for the project team and field coordinators to effectively administer the field activities;
∎ Design and develop slides, leaflets, papers, and other communication materials, as required;
∎ Regularly assess probable risks to the project activities and areas by means of monitoring local newspapers and national dailies as well as talking to various stakeholders.
∎ Support the team members at BEI in developing their professional skills;
∎ Have a good understanding of the financial management, with particular reference to project finance management and be able to synchronize the programme and finance side of a project;
∎ Maintain and manage contacts with the project partners, development partners and engage with other stakeholders, including those in the Government and civil society, for promoting the interests of BEI, as required;
∎ Have experience in organizing seminar, workshops, roundtables on contemporary issues, as required;
∎ Familiar with social media platforms and use them to organize meetings, hold discussions, impart training and build up coalitions of stakeholders to promote the activities of the organization;
∎ Earlier experience on renewable energy, climate change, and the environment will be added advantage.
∎ Support the President in managing the routine office work;
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at least 35 years
∎ Only males are allowed to apply
∎ At least 05 years of experience in developing project proposal, management of field activities, monitoring and evaluation, and report writing.
∎ At least 03 years of experience in Dhaka office and field office (in the area of governance, security and rights issues).
∎ Age limit may be relaxed for exceptionally competent candidate.
∎ Good verbal and written communication skills in English and Bangla.
∎ Excellent communication skill in ICT and social media.
∎ Excellent facilitation, communication and interpersonal skills.
Salary: Negotiable
