∎ What we are looking for: We are looking for an experienced professional who will serve his team with strategic guidance. The Deputy Country Director should have a clear understanding about the feminist leadership principles and will have to ensure that the country office will be performing with an integrated structure which includes support systems, including , program quality and knowledge management, business development, financial management, risk management and compliance, administration of logistics and ICT, government relations, security and legal services within Oxfam in Bangladesh.
∎ Essential:
∎ At least 10 years senior management experience in international development, preferably in a networked organization like Oxfam
∎ In depth knowledge and experience of complex humanitarian and development programmes, business development, programme quality and knowledge management, financial management, risk and compliance, administration and logistics and security management
∎ Highly developed analytical and problem-solving skills
∎ Experience of strategic design, planning and implementation and proven high level of financial management skills (including anti-theft and fraud) and high-level human resources management skills
∎ Desirable:
∎ Experience of working in highly complex political environments. Direct experience of Bangladesh is desirable
∎ Experience of working in insecure environments and of implementing security policies will be an advantage.
∎ Must demonstrate commitment and sensitivity to gender equality and adherence to feminist principles. The ability to adapt to different cultures
∎ Ability to develop close working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
∎ Behavioural role model for peers and fellow team members

∎ Ability to demonstrate sensitivity to cultural differences and gender issues, as well as the commitment to equal opportunities.
∎ Ability to demonstrate an openness and willingness to learn about the application of gender/gender mainstreaming, women's rights, and diversity for all aspects of development work.
∎ Commitment to undertake Oxfam's safeguarding training and adherence of relevant policies to ensure all people who come into contact with Oxfam are as safe as possible

Salary:
∎ Starting from BDT. 30,00,000 gross per annum (13 months) with other benefits e.g. medical for spouse and children, contributory Provident fund, gratuity, leave & Insurance etc. Will also depend on the experience of the suitable candidate.
