Responsibilities & Context:
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Denim Washing Technician to join our buying office team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in denim garment washing, wash development, troubleshooting, and bulk production follow-up to ensure buyer requirements are achieved consistently.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and approve denim wash recipes and effects.
Work closely with washing plants to achieve required shades and hand feel.
Evaluate wash samples and provide technical comments.
Follow up on PP, size set, and bulk wash approvals.
Troubleshoot washing-related issues during production.
Ensure consistency between development samples and bulk production.
Coordinate with merchandising, QA, and production teams.
Maintain wash standards according to buyer requirements.
Requirements
Minimum 5 years of experience in denim washing and finishing.
Strong knowledge of enzyme wash, stone wash, bleach wash, tinting, over-dye, resin, PP spray, whiskering, laser, ozone, and other denim finishing techniques.
Experience working with international denim brands and buyers.
Ability to travel to washing facilities when required.
Good communication and reporting skills.
Textile Engineering background will be an added advantage.
