∎ Project`s duration: August to December 2021 (with possibilities of extension)
∎ Job Context: ICCO Cooperation is a leading INGO working for ensuring food security, sustainable livelihoods, justice and dignity for all in Bangladesh since 1972. In Cox`s Bazar ICCO has been implementing projects on livelihoods/ market-based self-reliance and food assistance for the people living in the camps and host communities in Ukhiya and Teknaf. The Database Officer will be responsible to develop and maintain the accurate and complete beneficiaries` database, storing and preserving it for donor`s reporting and any other purpose. S/he is an individual, committed to maintaining transparency and accountability in managing relations with the staff members, supervisors and two-way communication, based on mutual trust and respect.
∎ Working Conditions:
∎ Fixed Term Contract
∎ The position will be field based in Ukhiya, Cox`s Bazar district
∎ Working days from Sunday to Thursday, 40 hours per week. This position may be required to work some overtime hours.
∎ Any other tasks assigned by the supervisor from time to time.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Determine the primary data and information elements that are required to support the project
∎ Develop and maintain project's comprehensive Data Management System
∎ Understand, document and ensure the quality of high-value data for accuracy, consistency and comparability
∎ Implement proper backup, data validation and security procedures to ensure data integrity and availability
∎ Assist to conduct baseline, Post Distribution Monitoring (PDM), evaluation, annual survey and reporting.
Additional Requirements:
∎ At least 3 years work experience in M&E and/or MIS
∎ Work experience in Rohingya emergency response will be given advantage.
∎ Experience with computer-based databases (MSSQL Server, MS Access, SPSS/STATA etc.)
∎ Advance working knowledge on software programs (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, ODK, KOBO, Akvo flow etc.) and advance comprehension of spreadsheet
∎ Knowledge and experience on basic statistics and research methodology and report writing
∎ Ability to cope up and mix with multicultural people and multi-tasks
Salary:
∎ Negotiable
∎ Competitive salary package depending on education and experience.
