Job Context:
∎ Reports to: Nutrition Specialist cum Trainer
∎ ICCO - Part of Cordaid is a leading INGO working for securing sustainable livelihoods, justice and dignity for all in Bangladesh since 1972. Most of the implemented interventions are focusing on Food and Nutrition Security, Climate Smart Agriculture, Disaster Risk Reduction, WASH and Humanitarian Assistance in the geographical areas where the people are at risks of vulnerability and poverty (Northern, South West part of Bangladesh and Cox`s Bazar). Globally, Cordaid and ICCO have joined their forces as of January 1st 2021, and the new organization will have the expertise of both the organizations together. ICCO part of Cordaid will pilot Nutrition Activities under a WFP funded project to increase the nutritional knowledge of the vulnerable targeted participants on dietary diversity, adequate food consumption and preservation. Moreover, specific training on food preservation and cooking will be organized at community level for the identified 1,000 participants in catchment C to achieve tangible behavioural changes in their diet.
∎ The Community Mobilizers will support the Nutrition Specialist cum Trainer to implement the project activities at the community level.

∎ Working Conditions:
∎ Working days from Sunday to Thursday with 40 hours per week. This position may be required to work some overtime hours to attend external meetings.
∎ From time to time local/day long travel may be required to reach different working and remote areas.
∎ Any other tasks assigned by the supervisor, or country office from time to time.
∎ One-year Contract duration.
∎ Follow ICCO CoC, HR, Integrity, Safeguarding, Gender, Admin and Finance related policies strictly.
∎ Willingness to use local transportation in remote areas as well as emergency situation.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Organize community meeting to orient the project activities at camp/field level
∎ Assist data/information collection from the field and provide information to the respective colleagues in regular basis.
∎ Organize the meeting and sessions and conduct the training for the nutritional behavior changes of the target households
∎ Mobilize the target households, closely work with the target participants.
∎ Organize cooking competition with the active participation of the target community.
∎ Organize mobile movies sessions at camp level to create awareness of the target community.
∎ Select the community volunteer and support their capacity building to work closely with the vulnerable community people.
∎ Assist to organize community level meeting with the support of community volunteer.
∎ Organize training for the capacity building of community volunteers so that they can conduct the awareness session at community level and assist them on the ground.
∎ Organize message dissemination workshop at camp level.
∎ Coordinate with CiCs and other officials, relevant camp committees, Majhi and other stakeholders
∎ Accumulate information and assist developing different project's reports.
Additional Requirements:
∎ At least 3 years' experience in community development works, preferably in health and nutrition.
∎ Able to mobilize the community volunteers to create nutrition awareness in the camps.
∎ Basic knowledge on nutrition such as dietary diversity, feeding practice, indigenous food habits,
∎ Experience in group formation, facilitating group meeting, community meeting and community mobilization
∎ Good team player; has rapport building skill with the community at camp level.
∎ Experience working within the NGO in Cox's Bazar and Rohingya context
∎ Experience in data collection from filed.
∎ Good knowledge of the local language is required.
∎ Experience to work in Cox's Bazar will be an added advantage.
