Job Responsibilities:
∎ • Management and development of the Telemetry Data Network (TDN)
∎ • Maintain efficient operation of all TDN servers and client workstations by system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, and reviewing system and application logs.
∎ •
∎ • Prepare information relating to patching, capacity, service availability, failures and other areas as required for the monthly Service Management Information reports, considering the automation of reporting where possible.
∎ • Ensure that TDN and all associated applications are available, functioning and fit-for-purpose during a major incident.
∎ • Provision of consultancy on TDN to Asset Delivery, C&OD, Business Improvement & their third-party contractors, bringing knowledge of TDN hardware and software requirements to ensure team can deliver their projects.
∎ • Provide specialist design and technical input, producing high quality design and procedural documentation on all telemetry network and SCADA related projects.
∎ • Maintaining data integrity, ensuring database security
∎ • Writing PL/SQL code when necessary to extract data based on stakeholders' need
∎ • Upgrading Database software, applying patches and collaboration with vendor to fix any database related issue.
∎ • Restoring database, recovery as and when needed.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 25 to 40 years
∎ Only males are allowed to apply
∎ • Must be Expertise in SQL and PL/SQL programming, developing complex code units.
∎ • Must be Expertise in LINUX server Administration
∎ • Experience of implementing oracle RAC, data guard etc is a plus
