Experience:

• At least 7 years
• The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Banks, Insurance, Leasing, Investment/Merchant Banking

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field from a reputed university, having no third class/division in academic record.

• Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate, Oracle Certified Professional (OCP), or MCSA/MCSE Database will be highly regarded.

• At least 7 years
• The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Banks, Insurance, Leasing, Investment/Merchant Banking

• Age At least 27 years

• Professional Experience: Minimum 7+ years of progressive experience in Software development/database administration, with at least 5 years of solid hands-on experience in both Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle Database environments.

• Strong skills in MSSQL High Availability (Always On, Clustering) and Oracle RAC/Data Guard implementations.

• Expertise in performance tuning, query optimization, and capacity planning.

• Proficiency in backup/recovery strategies, including RMAN, log shipping, and cloud-based recovery solutions.

• Familiarity with cloud database services (Azure SQL, Oracle Cloud, AWS RDS) is an advantage.

• Familiarity with IT security frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST) and Bangladesh Bank regulatory guidelines.

• Knowledge of PowerShell, Bash, or Python scripting for automation of database tasks is a plus.

• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and documentation skills.

• Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain MSSQL and Oracle database servers and related products.

• Manage database security, roles, and access controls in compliance with ISO/IEC 27001:2022 and Bangladesh Bank guidelines.

• Perform backup, recovery, disaster recovery (DR), and high availability (HA) planning, including Always On, Data Guard, and RAC configurations.

• Monitor and optimize database performance (tuning, indexing, partitioning) to ensure high availability and scalability.

• Implement and maintain database replication, clustering, and failover strategies.

• Execute database patching, upgrades, and migration activities with minimal downtime.

• Develop and enforce database policies, procedures, and standards for capacity planning, data retention, and lifecycle management.

• Support developers with query optimization, stored procedure tuning, and schema design.

• Manage audit logs, troubleshoot incidents, and provide root cause analysis for database-related issues.

• Collaborate with application teams to integrate databases with core banking (CBS), mobile applications, and third-party systems.
