Key Responsibilities

•            Install, configure, maintain, and administer PostgreSQL database systems.

•            Monitor database performance and ensure high availability, security, and reliability.

•            Perform database backup, restore, recovery, replication, migration, and disaster recovery planning.

•            Manage and maintain Oracle Data Guard environments.

•            Configure and support PostgreSQL Streaming Replication / Hot Standby.

•            Optimize database performance through tuning, indexing, and query optimization.

•            Manage and support Oracle and MySQL database environments when required.

•            Troubleshoot database issues and provide timely resolution.

•            Ensure database security, access control, and compliance with organizational standards.

•            Develop, test, and maintain backup and disaster recovery procedures.

•            Work closely with development, infrastructure, and application support teams.

•            Prepare and maintain database documentation, reports, and operational procedures.

Required Qualifications

•            Minimum 5 years of professional experience as a Database Administrator.

•            Strong expertise in PostgreSQL database administration.

•            Good knowledge of Oracle and MySQL databases.

•            Hands-on experience with Oracle Data Guard and PostgreSQL Streaming Replication / Hot Standby.

•            Proven experience in backup and restore operations, recovery procedures, and disaster recovery planning.

•            MSc in Computer Science, Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), Information Technology, or a related discipline.

•            Professional certification in PostgreSQL.

•            Professional certification in Oracle Database.

•            Strong knowledge of performance tuning, replication, database security, and high availability concepts.

•            Good analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Skills

•            Experience with high availability, disaster recovery, and database clustering.

•            Knowledge of Linux/Unix environments.

•            Familiarity with cloud-based database systems will be an added advantage.

•            Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
