Job Title: Software Support Engineer (Data Migration)
Experience Level: Mid-Level (3–5 years)

Role Overview:

We are looking for a Software Support Engineer to plan and execute data migrations into PDM/PLM and enterprise systems. You will work with stakeholders to define migration requirements, run extract-transform-load processes end to end, validate migrated data, and resolve issues so the transition causes minimal disruption to business operations. Strong analytical, technical, and communication skills are essential to ensure smooth coordination and successful project delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

· Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data migration requirements and objectives.
· Analyze existing data structures and identify data migration needs.
· Extract, cleanse, transform, and load data from source systems into the target system, confirming each use case with stakeholders along the way.
· Validate data integrity and accuracy post-migration.
·Identify and resolve any data migration issues or discrepancies.
· Conduct thorough testing of migrated data to ensure it meets quality standards.
· Document migration processes, methodologies, and results.
· Provide regular updates and reports to stakeholders on migration progress.
· Apply knowledge of PDM/PLM systems, data structures, and migration methodologies to deliver a seamless transition with minimal disruption to business operations.
· Facilitate communication and coordination between teams to ensure successful project completion.

Education:

· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

· 3–5 years’ experience in software engineering, data migration, software support, or a related technical role.
· Experience with SQL and data manipulation languages.
· Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
· Familiarity with data migration tools and platforms, including PDM/PLM data structures and migration methodologies.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
· Strong Python scripting skills, including automating data manipulation and transformation tasks.
· Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency, with proven experience in advanced formulas, data analysis, and Power Query.
· Familiarity with ticketing and help desk tools (such as ServiceNow) and remote desktop support software.
· Excellent English communication and interpersonal skills, with a proactive working style.

Preferred Skills:

· Experience with cloud data platforms such as Azure or AWS.
· Experience with SLA-based projects.
· Technical and functional knowledge of PLM, ERP, or CRM systems.
· Familiarity with data visualization tools.
· Understanding of API integrations.
