Job Responsibilities:
∎ The Cyber Threat Detection Engineer will work in a Product Engineering team to develop new threat detection capabilities, analyze malware and threats, and perform threat hunting activities so that the appropriate detection capabilities can be built into the products. The Detection Engineer will also work the Customer Support and SOC teams to investigate and troubleshoot customer reported detection issues.
∎ Research of new threats and maintain backlog of new detection features
∎ Testing of new threat detection capabilities
∎ Developing proof-of-concept detection code
∎ Working with engineering team on roadmap of threat detection capabilities
∎ Provide third line support, investigate issues with customer detections and responding as necessary
∎ Conduct open-source research into existing, emerging and future threats and ensure that these are captured for testing and development
∎ Demonstrates maturity, skills and adeptness in team collaboration, technical discussions and negotiations
∎ Continually improve personal understanding of emerging trends in the threat landscape by
∎ Proactively research industry trends and best practices, and apply them where applicable
∎ Ensures that all work is consistent with defined standards where standards exist and to withstand professional scrutiny in any case
∎ Demonstrates the ability to reflect on and improve personal performance

Additional Requirements:
∎ Candidates should meet all the requirements of the job description and relocate to Malaysia.
∎ QUALIFICATIONS:
∎ Experience in Cyber Security
∎ Experience developing Python scripts for Windows in an enterprise environment
∎ Knowledge of Windows internals, including exploit Techniques against MS Office, Adobe PDF Reader and Internet Explorer
∎ Experience debugging and monitoring processes in Windows (using tools such as OllyDbg, x64dbg, API Monitor, Process Explorer, Process Monitor)
∎ Experience reverse-engineering native windows applications using tools like IDA Pro or Ghidra
∎ Experience using Jira or similar feature/bug tracking software
∎ Experience in malware analysis or threat detection
∎ Experience using Git/Bitbucket
∎ Knowledge of development processes (Change control, Version control and Release process)
