Educational Requirements:
∎ Masters Degree, preferably in Social Sciences or relevant disciplines with academic research
Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 5 year(s)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Provide technical input at all stages, especially in the design, Terms of Reference and review of inception and research/evaluation reports for all key research and evaluations as per the SCI Standard
∎ Conduct in-depth interviews, FGDs, KII, IDI, Field visit to monitor the quality of data collection and validation.
∎ Develop transcripts of Qualitative data collection and Analysis of qualitative data using Nvivo
∎ Develop Analysis plan for the assigned research or study and undertake data analysis using SPSS and where appropriate Nvivo
∎ Support developing evidence briefs and learning briefs on completed research/evaluations and regular programmatic learning for sharing and promoting evidence and learning uptake across the organization
∎ Support developing guidance, process, and templates for various learning capturing and sharing mechanisms
Additional Requirements:
∎ A minimum of 5-years' experience in conducting research, preferably in the field of development/social science research in the context of Bangladesh
∎ Proven experience of managing major research initiatives, and developing research reports/products (Both Bangla and English)
∎ High proficiency required in using quantitative data analysis software (SPSS/STATA), and preferred in using qualitative data management software (NVivo)
∎ Demonstrated knowledge and skills in designing and conducting qualitative and quantitative research using various methods/tools/techniques
∎ Ability to train, coach and capacitate others
∎ Excellent communication, presentation and influencing skills, with a proven record of convincing senior leadership to support research findings uptake
