Context & Objective

Transrail is expanding its footprint in Bangladesh, focusing on complex infrastructure including river-crossing foundations and rail-bridge interfaces. We require a seasoned veteran from the Bangladesh Bridge Authority (BBA) to serve as a bridge between our technical teams and government stakeholders. This role is not just about engineering; it is about navigating the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) of the BBA to ensure project approvals, design vetting, and site execution move without delay.

Core Responsibilities

• Government Liaison & Approvals: Act as the primary point of contact for BBA. Facilitate the timely approval of General Arrangement Drawings (GAD), hydraulic studies, and structural designs.

• Strategic Advisory: Provide expert counsel on BBA’s technical specifications, safety protocols, and "Right of Way" (ROW) challenges specifically for projects crossing major rivers (e.g., Jamuna, Padma, or Meghna).

• Contractual Compliance: Interpret BBA-specific contract clauses and guide the team on compliance to avoid penalties or project suspension.

• Site & Technical Supervision: Conduct high-level inspections of bridge foundations (piling, pile caps, and piers) to ensure they meet the rigorous standards expected by national authorities.

• Dispute Resolution: Leverage your professional network and experience to resolve technical or administrative bottlenecks between Transrail and government engineering departments.
