Experience:
To support the implementation of POWER Project activities at the community level by effectively engaging women, adolescent girls, youth, marginalized communities, Climate Clubs, Community Groups and local stakeholders, while promoting Gender Equality, Women’s Leadership, Climate Resilience and Community Participation.
Mobilize and engage women, adolescent girls, youth and marginalized communities in project activities.
Support awareness sessions, courtyard meetings and community sessions on Climate Change, Disaster Risk, Disaster Preparedness, GBV, MHM, Child Marriage and Inclusion.
Support the establishment/strengthening and regular activities of 27 Climate Clubs.
Support Climate Club members in activities related to Leadership, Women’s Rights, Climate Justice and Participatory Governance.
Engage youth in Climate and GBV Awareness Campaigns and support campaign implementation.
Mobilize communities for Community-based Early Warning Messaging and Disaster Preparedness activities.
Identify Gender and Climate Champions and support their activities.
Participate in and coordinate activities of Women-led Climate Forums and local Community/CSO initiatives.
Support the organization of Open Dialogues and Community Meetings between women’s groups and local authorities.
Coordinate and maintain communication with Union and Ward-level Disaster Management Committees.
Support women leaders to participate in local Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) and decision-making processes.
Mobilize communities for Climate Adaptive Agriculture, HRDP, Trade Fair and other livelihood/resilience activities.
Support the distribution of awareness materials, leaflets and IEC materials to Climate Clubs and local communities.
Coordinate with CBOs/CSOs to support Community-based Action Plans, Conflict Prevention and local advocacy activities.
Collect community feedback, concerns and local issues and report them to the M&E Officer/Project Manager.
Support the maintenance of attendance sheets, participant information, photographs, activity records and other field documentation.
Provide necessary support to the M&E Officer in monitoring and data collection activities.
Support the collection and documentation of Lessons Learned, Good Practices, Success Stories and Case Studies.
Bachelor’s degree in Social Science, Development Studies, Sociology, Anthropology, Education or a relevant field.
Minimum 2 years of experience in Community Mobilization/Community Engagement in the NGO/Development sector.
Experience in women’s rights, Gender Equality, Climate Change, Disaster Risk Reduction, GBV Prevention or Community Development will be an advantage.
Practical experience working with local communities, women, youth and marginalized groups.
Strong skills in Community Mobilization and Facilitation.
Ability to conduct Group Discussions, Courtyard Meetings and Awareness Sessions.
Good communication and coordination skills with local communities and stakeholders.
Good communication skills in Bangla and ability to maintain field documentation.
Basic knowledge of MS Word and MS Excel.
Ability and willingness to work in remote and hard-to-reach areas.
