Job Context:
The Community Health Coordinator (CHC) will be responsible for supervising all promotion and prevention activities in the catchment areas of the FDMN camps located in Ukihya, Teknaf, and Bashan Char (Hatia Upazila in Noakhali). CHC will focus on capacity building for related personnel, including Community Health Workers (CHNW) and their supervisor. CHC may need to develop IEC materials and/or use available materials to train the CSW and their supervisor. To perform the task more effectively, the CHC must spend a minimum of 70% of his or her time in the field.

Technical Monitoring and Programme Quality:
S/He is overall responsible for the appropriateness and quality of health promotion intervention to the Rohingya refugee community supported by CHWG. S/He is expected to identify and work on reducing barriers for community mobilization, community participation, health-seeking behaviors, and improving patient-centered activities.
Work closely with the supervisor to ensure the smooth running of Outreach health promotion/education programs and provide technical supervision support to the GK`s community health activities.
Ensure activities are consistent with established best practices, acceptable WHO, ISCG, CHWG, and national standards (HEB) as well as ensure programs across different sites in the camp are of comparable quality by encouraging the transfer of good practices from one field site to another.
Ensure Health Education programs utilize standardized protocols, policies, and guidelines according to the agreed standards, contextualized to Rohingya Refugee Response.
Oversee the collection and timely reporting of data and statistics for all programs (including objectives, indicators, and outcomes of health programs) according to Donor requirements.
Review, and analyze monthly field and Donor reports and ensure appropriate follow-up and decision-making on data relevant to the organization`s health programs. Conduct regular field visits for programmatic support and technical capacity building.
Support the Quality implementation of FGD, and CGD activities to ensure awareness and mobilization of targeted beneficiaries in an appropriate manner.
Provide supervision to CHW Supervisor offering health education and community awareness guidance to CHW and creating a peer supervisory network built on foundations of knowledge exchange.
Promote ongoing integration of Preventive Healthcare at the community level within health facilities and other community-based services (Learning center, Madrasa, Moktob, WFS, AFS, Club).
Work closely with the AHC, Senior management, and field teams to determine the operational needs of the health education and community awareness programs within the scope of the grants.
Provide technical input during proposal development technical reviews, and feedback on the final proposals.
Act as a focal person for all community health activities including coordination, monitoring and supervision of the entire community health team including the CHW Supervisor and CHWs in the camps GK is responsible.
Coordinate any mass campaigns including vaccination and survey/assessment in line with the coordinated guidance of the health sector and CHWG.
Participate at the CHWG meetings and training to carry out the decisions/training at the field level.
Program Management:
Provide input for monthly field reports to provide donor reporting, analyze trends, and adjust the programs as needed.
Work with the senior management and field teams including the clinic manager and others to plan for future program directions in terms of beneficiary needs, new sites, and/or new programs.
Representation
Attend CHWG as well as other coordination meetings that are relevant to Preventive and promotive health care programs and communicate relevant information to the SMT.
Ensure maximum visibility of the agency amongst the NGO community. Contribute to the creation of a positive image and overall credibility of the organization, notably through the application of the organization`s Code of Conduct, ethics, values, and standpoint regarding internal and external actors.
Ensure representation of the community health team through CHW supervisors at the camp level regular health sector coordination meetings and other key meetings at the camp level.
Human Resources Management
Coaching and directly supporting Health Outreach teams in implementing Community-Based Surveillance (CBS) and reporting, Health Promotion/Education, and Community awareness program activities.
Ensure that Training needs assessment is conducted periodically to tailor training needs to the findings as well as in accordance with the strategy of the Response.
Maintain open lines of communication with all field staff.
Innovation Learning and Development
Conduct Health Education/ Preventive Health care-related assessments pertaining to needs on individual and community levels.
Develop or revise Health Outreach training materials, monitoring and evaluation tools, and client documentation forms as needed in collaboration with a technical advisor.
Support and coordinate the implementation of a research project aiming to establish evidence-based Intervention, including training and supervision of staff as well as joint monitoring of the rollout of the intervention.
Technical support and overseeing community health-related assessments/surveys that are conducted at the respective camps.
