Experience:

• These positions are required for ensuring initiation and quality of field activities.

• The applicant should have computer skill on MS word and Excel.

• Should have valid Motor bike driving license and willing to drive motor cycle.

• Willing to stay at union/upazila level with frequent visit to the remote areas.

• Have to be gender sensitive with sound knowledge and experience on gender issues.

• Experience of community mobilization, preferably in terms of fisher folk women in any development organization.

• Experience on PRA, FGD, networking/linkage/collaboration with union/upazila level administration and like-minded organizations.

• Proven skill and competencies in fisher folk women, fish farm, fish depo/Arot, market committee members, govt. officials and local elected with multidimensional activities.

• Candidate should have a good knowledge on safeguarding (Child Protection, Gender; Anti sexual harassment).

• She/he is expected to have sound knowledge on fisher folk women and fish market activities at the community level.

• Ability to work under pressure.

Project on Empowering Poor Fisher Folk Woman

Integrated Development Organization (IDO) is a local NGO. It was established in August, 1993 with the initiation of a group of educated like-minded social workers with an aim to promote the socio-economic and cultural status of the rural poor and vulnerable people, emphasising the women and children through capacity building, institution building, capital formation and imparting felt-need based problem solving programs by adopting modern scientific technologies.

IDO believes in non-directive, bottom up, participatory and integrated development frameworks and acts as a catalyst with its beneficiaries.

IDO is looking for a qualified Community Facilitators for this project.

Job Nature: Full-time up to the project period based on performance.

Reporting: Program Officer

Job Responsibilities:

• Good in field mobilization, facilitation, and training conduction.
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills and fluency in spoken and written English.
• Familiar with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, photography and videography.
• Candidates from Khulna division will get special priority.
• Knowledge on different survey, data collection and conduction of FGD & PRA.
• Facilitate family development plan, business plan and individual action plan.
• Should have knowledge on Gender mainstreaming, human rights and inclusion.
• Making volunteerism and sensitivity towards the community among the fisher folk women.
• Facilitate training for fisher folk women production/quick income earning (crop/livestock/poultry birds).
• Have experience in participatory program planning, management, monitoring, evaluation along with FGD & PRA tools.
• Facilitate training for the fisher folk wome’s/project target people on work readiness and basic life skills.
• Identify eligible parents and develop them as champion fisher folk women’s.
• Assist the project officer, project manager and relevant staff and developing reports, project completion and monthly reports etc.
• Linkage with local market actors (input seller, buyer, middle man, collector, market committee) and Micro Finance Institutions.
• Meeting with Government offices to claim extension services like; department of fishers, agriculture, livestock, youth development, social welfare, women affairs, BRDB etc.
• Assist the project officer, relevant staff in monitoring, documentation and developing the monthly reports etc.
• The candidate should have experience on fisher folk women’s skill development and employment in a rural context.
• Proper documentation; regular visits, dialogue with community, providing technical support to stakeholder and ensuring community participation and engagement community development related activities.
• To carry out any other relevant tasks assigned by the authority as and when necessary.

Location: Paikgacha/Koyra upazila under Khulna district

• Organization can split the bonus according to organization policy.

• Salary: Monthly consolidated BDT. 16,000 /- (Sixteen Thousand only)

• Other Benefits: As per project provision.
