  • Professional and technical understanding of Accounts, their diversification, and ways to adapt them as per the requirement of donor agencies;

  • Demonstrated track record of establishing and managing finance and accounting systems, overseeing and working with audits, and strong familiarity with TALLY, Taxes, VAT, and other related local regulations.

  • Understanding of the Government of Bangladesh’s financial, accounting, and banking requirements.

  • Familiar with NGO Bureau rules & regulations.

  • Working experience on FD-6, FD-7 and FC-1

  • Be a Team player, Self-motivated & also Self driven

  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills and fluency in spoken and written English. .

  • Good knowledge to operate Microsoft office package (Specially MS Word & MS Excel)

  • Excellent interpersonal, networking, communication, negotiation, and facilitation skills.

  • Excellent reading and writing skills in English and Bangla, including the ability to compose, edit, analyze and report using complex information.

  • Should have computer skill on MS word, Excel and other accounts software.

  • Fluently internet communication and operation.

  • Willing to stay at upazila level with frequent visit to the remote areas.

  • Being gender sensitive with sound knowledge and experience on gender issues.

  • Candidate should have a good knowledge on safeguarding (Child Protection, Gender & amp; Anti sexual harassment).

  • Ability to take challenge; willingness of frequent field travel; capability of working under pressure and excellent communication skill are essential.

  • Have time management, analytical ability, multitasking, facilitation; communication, presentation, and financial report writing.

  • Ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities & Context:

Project on Empowering Poor Fisher Folk Woman

Integrated Development Organization (IDO) is a local NGO. It was established in August, 1993 with the initiation of a group of educated like-minded social workers with an aim to promote the socio-economic and cultural status of the rural poor and vulnerable people, emphasising the women and children through capacity building, institution building, capital formation and imparting felt-need based problem solving programs by adopting modern scientific technologies.

IDO believes in non-directive, bottom up, participatory and integrated development frameworks and acts as a catalyst with its beneficiaries.

IDO is looking for a qualified Community Facilitators for this project.

Job Nature: Full-time up to the project period based on performance.

Reporting: Project Manager and Executive Director

  • Record keeping of all invoices & other bills and cross check for quality ensuring.
  • Preparation of payments voucher and booking of expenses under appropriate head of Accounts.
  • Check petty cash expenses, daily cash count sheet and petty cash reimbursement.
  • Keep vouchers, documents and records properly and safely.
  • Assist in the preparation of payroll and disbursement of petty cash and control cash.
  • Settlement of invoice and other bills and deduction of Income tax and VAT at source and timely deposit of Governments Taxes to Tax and VAT Authority.
  • Maintain fixed assets memorandum and preparation of monthly statement according to capitalization policy.
  • Prepare journal voucher and take approval from authorized person before recording.
  • Prepare reports frequently of all financial transactions monthly, quarterly and annually and/or as and when required.
  • Manage and file the staff time sheet on a monthly basis.
  • Manage and record keeping the personal leave and maintain leave register.
  • Manage staff requisition and filling as well as coordinate staff recruitment.
  • Stand in for the Project Coordinator as and when required.
  • Develop and update a Performance Management system.
  • Develop and strengthen internal communications.
  • Adequate knowledge for facilitate any kind of Procurement
  • Create potential vendor poll for all kind of Procurement
  • Ensure Transparency for any kind of financial transection
  • Clear understanding on VAT & Tax calculation & deduction from any kind of payment
  • Good knowledge on Organizational policy & procedure
  • Random field visit for ensure zero conflict of Interest & zero fraud at community level.
  • Facilitate family development plan, business plan and individual action plan.
  • Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
  • Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
  • Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any report able incident takes place, encourage others to do so.
  • To carry out any other relevant tasks assigned by the authority as and when necessary.
