• This position is required for ensuring initiation and quality of field activities.

• Good in field mobilization, facilitation and training conduction.

• Ensuring safe and inclusive project management.

• Skilled to fluently Internet communication with donor and others.

• Should have valid Motor bike driving license and willing to drive motor cycle.

• Willing to stay at upazila level with frequent visit to the remote areas.

• Supporting knowledge development on blue economy and inclusiveness development.

• Should have computer skill on MS word, Power Point, Excel.

• Knowledge on different survey, data collection and conduction of FGD & PRA.

• Experience of community mobilization, preferably in any development organization.

• Proven skill and competencies in fisher folk women, fish farm, fish depo/Arot, market committee leader, govt. officials and local elected with multidimensional activities.

• Experience on PRA, FGD, networking/linkage/collaboration with union/upazila level administration and like-minded organizations.

• Having a good knowledge on safeguarding (Child Protection, Gender & amp; Anti sexual harassment).

• Ability to take challenge; willingness of frequent field travel; capability of working under pressure and excellent communication skill are essential.

• Familiar with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, photography and videography.

• Have to be gender sensitive with sound knowledge and experience on gender issues.

• Ability to work under pressure.

• Have a sound knowledge on fisher folk women understanding on good practices related to development activities at the community level.

• Experience on fisher folk women’s skill development and employment in rural context.

• Excellent interpersonal communication skills and fluency in spoken and written English.

Project on Empowering Poor Fisher Folk Woman

Integrated Development Organization (IDO) is a local NGO. It was established in August, 1993 with the initiation of a group of educated like-minded social workers with an aim to promote the socio-economic and cultural status of the rural poor and vulnerable people, emphasising the women and children through capacity building, institution building, capital formation and imparting felt-need based problem solving programs by adopting modern scientific technologies.

IDO believes in non-directive, bottom up, participatory and integrated development frameworks and acts as a catalyst with its beneficiaries.

IDO is looking for a qualified Project Manager for this project.

Job Nature: Full-time up to the project period based on performance.

Reporting: Executive Director

Job Responsibilities:

• Assist to conduct field mobilization, facilitation, and training session with project stakeholders.
• Make sure monthly, quarterly and annual performance to the donor and relevant sectors.
• Conduct field supervision and monitoring of project activities and solving field problems.
• Facilitate to conduct family development plan, business plan and individual action plan.
• Assist to identify eligible women and develop them as champion fisher folk women’s.
• Assist to arrange and conduct need based training of different group of beneficiaries
• Ensure gender mainstreaming, human rights and inclusion within the project stakeholders.
• Supervise community level training, workshop on participatory management and other relevant activities.
• Ensure participatory program planning, management, monitoring, evaluation, FGD & PRA tools.
• Assist to make volunteerism and sensitivity towards the community among the fisher folk women.
• Facilitate training for fisher folk women production/quick income earning (crop/livestock/poultry birds).
• Facilitate training for the fisher folk women’s/project target people on work readiness and basic life skills.
• Establish linkage with local market actors (input seller, buyer, middle man, collector, market committee) and Micro Finance Institutions.
• Supervise day to day field level project implementation activities.
• Supervise and conduct community level training, workshop on participatory and other relevant activities.
• Assist the executive director, partners and relevant staff in monitoring, documentation and developing the donor reports, project completion, and monthly reports etc.
• Assist to establish linkage with Government offices to claim extension services like; department of fishers, agriculture, livestock, youth development, social welfare, women affairs, BRDB etc.
• Ensure proper documentation; regular visits, dialogue with community, providing technical support to project officer and community facilitator’s ensuring community participation engagement development related activities.
• Contribute to conduct gender-friendly assessment following this project policy and organizational guidelines.
• To carry out any other relevant tasks assigned by the authority as and when necessary.

Location: Head Office but frequent field visit at Paikgacha & Koyra upazila under Khulna district.

• Organization can split the bonus according to organization policy.

• Salary: Monthly consolidated BDT. 35,000 /- (Thirty Five Thousand only)
