Job Responsibilities:
∎ Group formation and facilitation;
∎ Group and community mobilization;
∎ Awareness developing and sensitizing the community for Food Security, Disaster Risk Reduction, Migration through the lens of Climate Change with consideration of Climatic Loss & Damage aspect.
∎ Building relationships with Union Parishads and other organizations for sensitizing Climate Change and Disaster Risk Reduction;
∎ Have good knowledge of budget process of Union Parishad;
∎ Have good knowledge of internal migration as well as climate-induced migration.
∎ Assist to create market linkage;
∎ Have good knowledge on Apprenticeship approaches;
∎ Identify project needs and develop a detailed timeline for completion;
∎ Keep track of assigned union-wise project's progress and update the PMU team for better decisions.
∎ Involve Union Parishad, Upazila Parishad, Union Disaster Management Committee & other stakeholders in the implementation of the project. e.g., Communicate and network with the local cooperative system;
∎ Need assessment and assist to develop entrepreneur;
∎ Support the team to collect media materials such as pictures, videos, case studies, etc.
∎ Facilitate donor/external visits and ensure that recommendations of visitors are addressed.
∎ Skill in Documentation;
∎ Knowledge of Local government structure;
∎ Implement community mobilization;
∎ Good understanding of PRA, RRAP, CRA, etc;
∎ Liaison and build up relationships with community base LGI representatives, LSP, and other stakeholders;
∎ Support to observe different planned days;
∎ Participate in different training, meeting, and workshops;
∎ Participate in GO and NGO coordination meetings at the union level and represent project and organization;
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at least 25 years
∎ At least 5 years relevant job experience. Experience on Climate Change DRR and Livelihood will be added advantage.
∎ Experience in working as part of a team
∎ Computer knowledge on Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, power point and capable to use Internet
∎ Practicing gender, PSEA, Safeguarding, code of conduct and cultural diversity
∎ Willing to work with partially flexible work hours
∎ Skill to operate virtual platform like Skype/Zoom/Team etc.
∎ Able to ride bicycle at the rural and coastal area
Salary: Tk. 25000 - 26000 (Monthly)
