Educational Requirements:
∎ Masters/Bachelor in Communications, Journalism, English preferred but can be a graduate in Social Science, Development Studies or any other relevant discipline from Public/National University.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Contributes to the development of key messages related to CEMB outcomes.
∎ Identifies communication topics and stories in consultation with component leads in the project team and Plan’s project team.
∎ Acquires and maintains information and photographs on activities in District, Upazila and Unions to support project documentation, reporting and presentations to key stakeholders
∎ Monitors selected local and regional media for news on events, projects, research and publications relevant to CEMB’s work and highlight the same on the website.
∎ Contributes to thematic and topical pieces in Bangla for newsletter.
∎ Support the production of IEC materials in Bangla and English.
∎ Assists CEMB staff with writing blogs in Bangla and English
∎ Provides need-based communication support to field staff, District Administration and Plan’s Country and Divisional Offices.
∎ Reports to the project’s Team Manager and based in Bhola.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Strong interpersonal skills and well-developed written and oral communications skills in English and Bengali
∎ Computer literacy, including the ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
∎ Practicing gender and cultural diversity
∎ Able to operate virtual platform like Skype/Zoom/Teams etc.
∎ Able to drive motorcycle and will have valid driving license.
Salary: Tk. 35431 - 38620 (Monthly)

: Shushilan, a national NGO of Bangladesh implementing a four (4) year, gender-transformative project titled “Combatting Early Marriage in Bangladesh” (CEMB) that is being funded by Global Affairs Canada (GAC). The CEMB project will be implemented in four Upazilas of Bhola District in partnership with Plan International Bangladesh. To implement the project, Shushilan is inviting applications from the competent and qualified persons for the mentioned position. Female applicants and prior experience in Barisal Division preferred. Minimum requirements will be flexible for the promising applicants.
