Education: Chartered Accountant or MBA from a reputed university, or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Marketing, or a related discipline from a recognized university.
15–20 years of experience in senior leadership roles within professional institutions, regulatory bodies, professional services firms, or large national or multinational organizations.
Demonstrated experience in governance, institutional management, and stakeholder engagement.

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bangladesh (ICAB), the premier professional body responsible for developing and regulating the accountancy profession in Bangladesh, invites applications from qualified and experienced professionals for the position of Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
The CEO will provide strategic and operational leadership to the Institute, ensuring effective implementation of the Council’s decisions and advancing ICAB’s mandate in professional education, regulation, and member services.
Position Details
Position Title: Chief Executive Officer (CEO), reporting to ICAB Council and/or the President
Supervises: All Directorates/Divisions and Unit Heads

Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership: Translate Council decisions into actionable operational and institutional plans. Provide strategic advice to the Council and Office Bearers on policy, regulatory, and public interest matters.
Governance and Compliance: Ensure compliance with statutory requirements including the Chartered Accountants Order 1973 and ICAB Bye-Laws. Advice on legal affairs. Uphold integrity and transparency in disciplinary and governance processes.
Operational Management: Overall Operational Oversight, prudent use of institutional resources and compliance with financial policies, propose new revenue streams, promote cost optimization. Ensure executive management leadership and Implementation of Annual Work Plans
