Responsibilities & Context:
Doscon is a technology-driven company working with environmental monitoring, water and wastewater treatment, industrial compliance, and data-driven solutions.
The Chemical Engineer will play a key role in monitoring, analyzing, and improving chemical processes, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting both field operations and data analysis related to environmental systems.
This role involves close collaboration with software engineers, environmental specialists, data analysts, and clients, with opportunities to work on real-time monitoring systems and international projects.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor and analyze water, wastewater, and industrial process data (e.g., pH, TDS, COD, BOD, DO, CN, heavy metals).
Support environmental compliance activities in line with local and international regulations.
Investigate sensor performance, data anomalies, and system malfunctions, and assist in troubleshooting.
Interpret laboratory and online sensor data and prepare technical reports and summaries.
Assist in the design, optimization, and evaluation of chemical and treatment processes.
Work with cross-functional teams to improve monitoring systems, dashboards, and data accuracy.
Participate in site visits, inspections, and audits when required.
Support R&D initiatives related to new monitoring methods, treatment technologies, or process improvements.
Maintain proper documentation, SOPs, and quality control records.
Communicate findings clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Required Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering (or closely related field) Masters is a plus.
Strong understanding of chemical processes, water chemistry, and environmental engineering principles.
Familiarity with wastewater treatment processes and industrial effluent standards.
Ability to analyze data using Excel, Google Sheets, or analytical tools (basic Python/Matlab is a plus).
Knowledge of online sensors, sampling methods, and lab analysis is an advantage.
Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
Ability to work independently as well as in a team-oriented environment.
Nice to Have (Preferred)
Experience with environmental monitoring systems or industrial compliance projects.
Exposure to IoT-based sensors, dashboards, or SCADA systems.
Experience working with international clients or remote teams.
Basic understanding of data visualization or reporting tools.
Career Progression:
This position is offered initially as an internship. Based on performance, commitment, and business needs, there is a strong possibility of conversion to a permanent role after successful completion of the internship period
