2–3 years’ experience in hospitality, tourism, or homestay/lodge management (rural or eco-tourism experience preferred).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in Bangla and basic English (additional language skills a plus).
Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work independently and make practical decisions on the spot.
Passion for sustainable tourism, rural life, and community engagement.
Basic computer skills (booking systems, email, social media).
Responsibilities & Context: The Manager will oversee all daily operations of a small rural retreat in Bangladesh, ensuring guests enjoy a peaceful, authentic, and memorable countryside experience. The role involves managing guest relations, coordinating staff, maintaining property standards, and supporting the retreat’s sustainable and community-focused vision.
The ideal candidate is hands-on, warm, and resourceful — someone who can balance hospitality excellence with local authenticity and environmental care.
Key Responsibilities:
Guest Experience & Hospitality
- Welcome and host guests with warmth and professionalism, providing personalized service from arrival to departure.
- Plan and coordinate guest activities such as village walks, local cooking experiences, or cultural programs.
- Handle bookings, check-ins, and check-outs efficiently (via phone, email, or online platforms).
- Collect and respond to guest feedback to continuously enhance service quality.
Operations & Property Management
- Supervise and participate in daily housekeeping, dining, and maintenance activities.
- Ensure rooms, gardens, and common areas are clean, well-maintained, and visually appealing.
- Oversee kitchen operations (if applicable), ensuring hygienic food preparation and authentic local cuisine.
- Monitor inventory and procurement of supplies, produce, and amenities, prioritizing local sourcing.
Team & Community Coordination
- Lead, train, and motivate a small team of local staff (housekeepers, cooks, groundskeepers, etc.).
- Foster a respectful and supportive work environment that values local culture and traditions.
- Coordinate with local farmers, artisans, and community members for activities or products offered to guests.
