∎ The DevOps Engineer is responsible for providing technical support, routine maintenance and improvement, scripting and deployment regarding a spectrum of software platform used within the system. This will require the candidate to be able to become the first line of defense in finding the root cause of an application malfunction and resolve it coordinating with Software developers, System Operators, DBA and other related departments.
∎ The DevOps Engineer is also a key member of the team responsible for using technology to improve business performance and strategy. Additionally, we need DevOps Engineer proficient with AWS cloud based hosting solutions including EC2, ELB, RDS, S3 and Redshift etc.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ The Specific Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
∎ Independently deploy and maintain business application in AWS Cloud platform utilizing various AWS tools & services including EC2, ELB, RDS, S3, IAM and Redshift etc.
∎ Constantly monitor and maintain existing system to run the application efficiently, flawlessly and in a cost-effective way.
∎ Responsible for deployment, support and troubleshoot Business Applications (web services, cloud, desktop and mobile).
∎ Ensure product and software documentation are properly written in a professional way by the concerned Programmers for future reference and better clarification.
∎ Identify root cause, Implement and document Workarounds for Application incidents.
∎ Implement/Deployment of bug fixes, patches and tactical platform fixes to both the new and legacy parts of the platform.
∎ Work as a part of cross-functional, passionate agile project teams ensuring high quality of performance delivery.
∎ Proactively bring issues and problems to the attention of the team; generating, proposing and implementing innovative solutions to solve them.
∎ Automate deployment and monitoring where necessary.
∎ Proactively improve the system monitoring, alerting and end-to-end tests.
∎ Create, update and maintain documentation on deployment, troubleshooting, etc. and sharing the knowledge within the team.
Additional Requirements:
∎ The Specific Experience & Skills include but are not limited to:
∎ At least 1+ years' experience (proficient) using AWS cloud solutions. It is expected that you can independently implement and run AWS hosting & other cloud services efficiently and economically.
∎ Experience designing and building web environments on AWS, which includes working with services like EC2, ELB, RDS, S3 and Redshift.
∎ Skills/Experience in the following AWS product lines: Connect, Lambda, API Gateway, S3, IAM.
∎ Experience using DevOps tools in a cloud environment, such as Docker & GitHub.
∎ Experience building and maintaining cloud-native applications.
∎ Experience in troubleshooting distributed systems.
∎ Proficient in Javascript (Vue etc.), Java, SQL (MySQL, Postgre) etc.
∎ Strong technical documentation skills.
∎ The ability and skill to train other people in procedural and technical topics.
∎ Strong communication and collaboration skills
∎ Technology we are using currently: Amazon AWS, Java MVC Framework, Java Spring Boot, MySQL (AWS background), PostgreSQL, web technologies including Vue.js, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Bootstrap, JavaScript frameworks like Express/ NodeJS or AngularJS, Native Android (Mobile Platform) etc.
