Responsibilities & Context:
Perform physical tests on woven garments and fabrics (e.g., tensile strength, tear strength, pilling, abrasion, seam slippage, GSM, dimensional stability, colorfastness to rubbing/washing, etc.)
Operate and maintain testing equipment according to SOPs and calibration requirements
Prepare test samples and ensure accurate data recording
Follow international test methods (e.g., ASTM, AATCC, ISO, BS, EN)
Support and maintain quality systems for laboratory accreditation (ISO/IEC 17025)
Assist in internal audits, documentation, and corrective actions
Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards
Generate test reports and communicate results with QA/production teams
