Experience:
Strong knowledge of wastewater treatment technologies, biological processes, and RO/UF systems.
Excellent problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills.
Proficiency in data analysis, reporting, and process optimization.
1. Daily Operations & Process Control
Supervise daily operations of ETP, WTP, and Recycle systems to ensure continuous plant performance.
Monitor and optimize treatment processes in real-time, proactively identifying variations in water quality and process parameters.
Execute daily maintenance schedules and oversee equipment upkeep to minimize downtime.
Implement corrective and preventive actions for operational issues, escalating complex technical problems to the Next level.
Coordinate with the lab team to ensure timely water quality testing and adherence to process standards.
2. Compliance & Environmental Safety
Ensure 100% adherence to DOE and BEPZA norms, as well as internal environmental regulations, across all shifts.
Assist the Manager in the preparation of documents for audits and regulatory renewals.
Maintain onsite compliance records, logs, and checklists to ensure "audit-ready" status at all times.
Oversee sludge management, recycling, and disposal protocols, ensuring they meet regulatory requirements and safety standards.
3. Team Leadership & Supervision
Lead shift operations by supervising operators and technicians to ensure safety protocols and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are strictly followed.
Provide on-the-job training and coaching to technical staff to improve operational efficiency and safety consciousness.
Track attendance and productivity of the technical team, ensuring operational targets are met.
4. Project Support & Budgeting
Support the Manager in project stages (construction/commissioning) by ensuring onsite tasks are executed according to the project plan.
Identify and implement cost-saving measures related to chemical consumption, power usage, and waste management.
Assist in monitoring monthly targets to ensure the department remains within the approved budget.
