1) Market analysis and keeping up-to-date information on the supply of various items / equipment in the local market of ship breaking raw materials, prices, stocks, etc.

2) Developing product sourcing strategies, finding profitable suppliers and establishing relationships with suppliers.

3) Managing supply chain management activities by considering item-wise current stock levels, new demands, delivery time limits, etc.

4) Collecting requisitions from the concerned departments, receiving quotations from vendors / suppliers, preparing CS, selecting suppliers, obtaining approval from the management authority, issuing purchase orders.

5) Verifying the quantity, quality and specification of the required goods. Selecting profitable suppliers with the aim of saving costs without compromising on the quality of the goods.

6) Negotiate and finalize product, price, delivery, refund policy, guarantee / warranty and other terms and conditions with suppliers / vendors or other parties.

7) Ensure delivery of goods by verifying the quality of goods as per the agreement with the supplier and sending the goods to the right destination on time.

8) Work towards reducing costs at various levels, long-term planning of procurement costs and more effective supply chain management and prepare reports as needed.

9) Maintain proper records of goods purchases, any document that can be used as a reference account at any time if needed.

10) Conduct work in accordance with the company's supply chain policy.

11) Prepare a detailed database of product wise suppliers and keep it up to date. So that the information can be used as a reference in the future.

12) Complete the assigned duties within a specific time frame.

13) Must be willing to perform any duty at any time if necessary.

14) Perform other duties as directed by the management authority.
