  • Develop and implement store SOPs and policies.

  • Lead internal and external audits with compliance checks.

  • Budgeting and forecasting of inventory.

  • Knowledge of various furniture manufacturing materials.

  • Ability to manage both raw materials store & finished goods warehouse.



Responsibilities & Context:

1.     Store & Warehouse Operations

  • Supervise daily store operations: receiving, unloading, inspection, storage, issuing, and dispatch.  Ensure proper stacking, binning, labeling, and identification of materials.

  • Optimize warehouse layout for maximum space utilization. Ensure proper handling of heavy furniture items to avoid damage.

  • Review invoices, work orders, consumption reports, or demand forecasts to estimate peak delivery periods and issue work assignments.

 2.     Raw Materials & Finished Goods Inventory Management

  • Maintain proper inventory of pipe, sheet, PP, timber, board, veneer, foam, fabric, hardware, fittings, chemicals, and finished furniture.

  • Ensure accurate stock control through ERP Software system also physical and reconcile with system records. Control wastage, damage, and pilferage.

  • Conduct regular physical stock verification and reconcile with system records. Monitor minimum, maximum, reorder level, safety stock, and EOQ.

  • Ensure timely availability of materials to avoid operational delays.  Communicate stock status and critical shortages proactively.

 3.     Production Coordination

  • Coordinate with production, planning, for material requirements demand. Ensure uninterrupted supply of raw materials to production lines.

  • Track material consumption and report variances. Support production planning through proper stock availability.

 4.     Procurement Coordination

  • Coordinate with procurement teams for material requirements and on time delivery. Ensure quality and specification of materials/goods.

  • Track purchase orders and follow up on pending deliveries. Verify received goods against purchase orders and invoices.

 5.      Dispatch & Logistics Management

  • Prepare and verify delivery challan, gate pass, invoice, and transport documents. Coordinate with distribution/transport/logistics teams for smooth delivery.

  • Prepare and maintain inventory reports, stock registers, and other store documentation. Verify the quality and quantity of incoming and outgoing materials.

 6.      Documentation & ERP Management

  • Maintain all store documents (Goods Received Note, MRN / Issue Slip, SPR, Stock Register, Delivery Challan etc)

  • Ensure real-time data entry in ERP/software. Prepare audit-ready documentation and reports.

  7.     Team Management & Leadership

  • Supervise store officers, store keepers, helpers, and loaders. Assign daily tasks and monitor productivity & performance.

  • Provide training on material handling, safety, and SOP. Evaluate team performance and ensure discipline.

  • Provide training on store procedures and safety practices. Monitor workplace performance and lead training initiatives to improve employees

 8.     Store Safety & Security

  • Ensure proper storage of flammable items (chemicals, polish, and thinner). Maintain fire safety, PPE usage, and workplace safety standards. Implement proper handling procedures for hazardous or sensitive items.

  • Ensure cleanliness, pest control, and proper ventilation in store areas. Follow company policies, ISO standards, and audit compliance.  

 9.      Cost Control & Loss Prevention

  • Monitor slow-moving, non-moving, and obsolete inventory.  Reduce damage during handling and storage (especially furniture items).

  • Minimize inventory losses, damages, and obsolescence. Suggest improvements for cost optimization and process efficiency.

 10.  Reporting & Analysis

  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports (Like: Stock report, Consumption report, Shortage/excess report). Analyze inventory trends and provide recommendations to management.

  • Perform any other duties assigned by management related to store and inventory operations.
