Responsibilities & Context:

• Plan, organize, and supervise the overall transport operations of the company.

• Manage a fleet of trucks, covered vans, pickups, forklifts, and other transport vehicles.

• Ensure timely dispatch and delivery of finished products to customers, distributors, and depots.

• Coordinate transportation of raw materials from suppliers to factories.

• Prepare transport schedules and optimize vehicle utilization to minimize operating costs.

• Monitor fuel consumption, mileage, GPS tracking, and vehicle performance.

• Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules in coordination with the Engineering/Workshop team.

• Ensure all vehicle documents (registration, fitness, tax token, route permit, insurance, etc.) remain valid and updated.

• Maintain compliance with BRTA regulations and other legal requirements.

• Supervise transport supervisors, drivers, helpers, and outsourced transport service providers.

• Investigate transport accidents, damages, and customer complaints, and implement corrective actions.

• Prepare transport budgets and control operational expenses.

• Develop transport-related SOPs and ensure compliance with company policies.

• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports and MIS for management.

• Ensure workplace safety, fleet security, and adherence to HSE standards.

• Coordinate with Sales, Supply Chain, Production, Warehouse, and Procurement departments for smooth logistics operations.

• Perform any other duties assigned by management.
