Responsibilities & Context:

Job Context:

ACI Premio Plastics Ltd. is looking for a dynamic and experienced professional to lead its Maintenance Department at the Premio Factory. The incumbent will be responsible for ensuring uninterrupted operations by overseeing preventive and corrective maintenance of mechanical, electrical, and utility systems. This role demands strong leadership to manage a technical team, optimize equipment performance, and drive continuous improvement initiatives while ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards.

Principal Accountabilities:

Lead and oversee all maintenance activities including mechanical, electrical, and utility systems

  • Provide leadership and strategic direction for the maintenance function covering all areas of the factory’s mechanical, electrical, electronics, and utility systems (e.g., power, air, water, and HVAC).

  • Ensure round-the-clock support for uninterrupted production operations by deploying appropriate maintenance resources.

Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs

  • Design, plan, and execute comprehensive preventive and predictive maintenance schedules for all machinery and equipment based on historical data, OEM guidelines, and operational priorities.

  • Monitor program effectiveness and continuously optimize it to reduce downtime and extend asset life.

Troubleshoot critical machinery breakdowns and ensure minimal downtime

  • Lead root-cause analysis of equipment failures and implement immediate and long-term corrective actions.

  • Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to resolve issues quickly and restore operations efficiently.

Supervise and mentor the existing maintenance team to enhance their capabilities

  • Provide hands-on coaching, technical guidance, and performance feedback to engineers and technicians.

  • Identify skill gaps within the team and initiate training plans to develop multi-skilled maintenance personnel.

Maintain maintenance KPIs, including MTBF, MTTR, and overall equipment efficiency

  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure maintenance performance such as Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF), Mean Time to Repair (MTTR), and machine-wise OEE.

  • Regularly review data, analyze trends, and take proactive steps for continuous improvement.

Coordinate with production and procurement teams for technical requirements and spares management

  • Collaborate with the production team to align maintenance activities with production schedules.

  • Work closely with the procurement department to ensure the timely availability of spare parts, tools, and external services without overstocking or shortages.

Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations

  • Enforce strict adherence to factory safety standards during maintenance operations to prevent workplace hazards.

  • Monitor and ensure all maintenance-related activities comply with local laws, environmental guidelines, and company policies.
