∎ BRAC Bank is currently looking for an ambitious, intelligent, goal-oriented, enthusiastic individual for this position in its Risk Management Division.
∎ Job Grade : Principal Officer
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Risk Management: Market & Liquidity Risk Desk:
∎ Measure interest rate risk, monitor foreign exchange-related risk, measure equity price risk, conduct stress testing activities;
∎ Ensure proper implementation of the instructions laid down in the ALM guidelines, such as maintenance of regulatory requirements of liquidity ratios, liquidity forecasting, etc.;
∎ Identify risks by analyzing data, existing risk information, various exceptions, audit reports, and complaints and perform impact assessment;
∎ Identify and manage risks in collaboration with the relevant stakeholders of the bank and prepare a risk pack and facilitate the risk forum;
∎ Prepare an effective market and liquidity risk paper and circulate it to the relevant stakeholders of the unit; act as the market and liquidity risk desk owner.
∎ Risk Culture:
∎ Identify and develop a risk ownership culture across the board;
∎ Facilitate sharing of the best risk management practices across the organization;
∎ Assist the Divisional Head in conducting risk-based awareness sessions, workshops, and training for the existing coworkers, including the team members.
∎ Process, Policies & PPG Framework:
∎ Take the initiative upfront to complete the review of an existing policy, PPG, and process manual from the respective ownership side;
∎ Review the policies, process, and PPG and provide feedback on time;
∎ Prepare risk paper on new policy/process notes or any other issues as assigned by the Divisional Head.
∎ Risk Systems & Projects:
∎ Initiate/coordinate process development/automation to enhance efficiency within the team.
Additional Requirements:
∎ 6-7 years of experience in overall activities of the market and liquidity risk desk;
∎ Sound knowledge of banking products, forex, derivatives, fixed income, money market, processes, system protocol, banking regulations, laws, etc.;
∎ Minimum intermediate level understanding /skills in MS EXCEL, ACCESS, SQL, and/or quantitative techniques / statistical technique is a pre-requisite; experience in using statistical tools like STATA, and EVIEWS will be an advantage;
∎ Any professional certification would be an added advantages, such as CFA/FRM/CERM etc.;
∎ Good interpersonal and communication skills;
∎ High standard of writing and verbal knowledge of the English language;
∎ Be self-propelled, customer-centric, a team player, and capable of meeting deadlines.
