Experience:
Masters in Clinical/ Counselling/ Educational/ IO/ Developmental/ School Psychology from any UGC approved reputed university or institute.
Certification course on EDD and ECD will be added as an advantage

The Assistant Technical Specialist (Psychosocial Support) will support the Project Manager in implementing Early Childhood Development (ECD)-focused programming, psychosocial support services, and community health initiatives in camp settings. This role emphasizes technical guidance, curriculum development, working on research and field-level monitoring to ensure integration of public health and psychosocial care. The Assistant Technical Specialist (Psychosocial Support) will assist in supervising psychologists and para-counselors, coordinate with health facilities, and contribute to training and capacity-building activities.
Assist the Project Manager in implementing health-related activities under PTL 2.0 and LEGO projects.
Provide technical support to case management, psychosocial support units, and community health messaging initiatives.
Support interventions aligned with the First 1000 Days approach, which focus on the maternal and child health, nutrition, and early childhood development.
Coordinate with health sector and camp level health facilities to strengthen access to Maternal care, immunizations, health issues and nutrition services.
Support planning and implementation of MHPSS activities for children aged 0–3 and caregivers.
Assist in providing technical support to psychologists and para-counselors to deliver tailored and evidence based mental health support.
Monitor psychosocial activities and ensure integration with maternal health and child protection programming.
Participate in emergency response teams and provide technical support for psychological first aid.
Plan, assist and conduct training for Para Counselor, Father and Mother volunteers to deliver health education and psychosocial support.
Contribute to the development of culturally appropriate training modules on maternal nutrition, breastfeeding, and early child stimulation.
Support community health messaging campaigns to promote safe caregiving practices.
Track health and psychosocial indicators related to maternal and child outcomes.
Ensure timely referrals for high-risk pregnancies, malnutrition, and mental health concerns.
Prepare and Contribute donor reporting and fundraising proposals focused on maternal and child health.
Support decision-making and strategic planning in alignment with Health Sector and RRRC guidelines.
Assist in staff management processes (promotion, transfer, and performance monitoring) under the guidance of the Project Manager.
Coordinate with BRAC sectors (Education, Child Protection, Livelihood, DRR, etc.) for integrated programme implementation.
Liaise with UN agencies, NGOs, and other stakeholders to ensure policy alignment and effective representation.
Perform any kind of responsibilities assigned by the supervisor.
Strong understanding of child psychology, developmental milestones, and trauma.
Proficiency in data collection, analysis, and reporting.

Ensure the safety of Programme Participants, people who come into contact with the organisation and team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) to achieve the programme's goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place and encourage others to do so.
