• Bachelor of Science (BSc)

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or Architecture, preferably with a major or specialization in Structural Engineering

• Age 20 to 50 years

• Minimum 1–2 years of relevant professional experience
• Experience with USA and/or Australian residential projects
• Strong knowledge of residential wood-framing systems
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects
• Good English communication and problem-solving skills

Experience Level: Mid-Level & High-Level

Code Knowledge:

Candidates should have practical knowledge of:

IBC, IRC, ASCE 7, and AWC NDS

ACI 318 and basic AISC standards

Eurocodes 0, 1, 2, 3, and 5

Australian Building Regulations and Standards

Software Skills:

Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Excel is required.

Experience with one or more of the following software will be preferred:

• Revit
• RISA-3D / RISA Foundation
• ForteWEB
• WoodWorks
• Simpson Strong-Tie Software
• ETABS
• SAP2000
• STAAD Pro
• Bluebeam Revu

Job Summary: Arcnext Studio is an international architectural and engineering design team serving clients primarily in the USA, Australia, and the UK. Our projects include residential buildings, home additions, ADUs, garages, decks, porches, basement conversions, and renovation projects.

We are looking for an experienced "Assistant Structural Engineer" who can independently design residential structures, particularly wood-framed buildings, perform structural analysis and calculations, and prepare permit-ready structural drawing packages.

Work Location: Basabo, Dhaka

Office Hours: 9:00 AM–6:00 PM

Key Responsibilities:

• Design residential wood-framed structures
• Perform gravity, wind, snow, seismic, and lateral load calculations
• Design foundations, footings, slabs, beams, headers, columns, joists, rafters, shear walls, decks, and porches
• Prepare structural permit drawings and calculation packages
• Review architectural drawings and coordinate structural designs
• Revise drawings based on client, city, or plan-review comments
• Ensure compliance with applicable building codes and project deadlines
