    • Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering, Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS 

1. CCNA or CCNP (Cisco), MikroTik MTCNA / MTCRE, or equivalent industry certifications

2. Working knowledge of FreeRADIUS and subscriber authentication systems for cross-team coordination with IT & Systems

3. Understanding of DDoS mitigation, firewall policy management, and ISP-level network security practices

4. Experience managing helpdesk or NOC ticketing platforms (Freshdesk, Zammad, or equivalent)

B.Sc. or equivalent in Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Telecommunications, or a closely related technical discipline from a recognized university

Minimum 5 years in ISP or telecom network operations, with at least 2 years in a team lead or supervisory capacity

Solid working knowledge of GPON architecture — OLT, ONU/ONT, splitter design, and optical signal budget calculation

Strong proficiency in MikroTik Router OS configuration and troubleshooting — mandatory given its widespread use across Bangladesh ISP networks

Demonstrated experience commanding major network incidents — running bridge calls, coordinating multiple teams, and providing status updates under pressure

Proven track record managing shift-based teams including scheduling, performance reviews, and accountability in a 24/7 environment



Responsibilities & Context:

ROLE OVERVIEW

Assistant Manager - Network Operations & Support will be responsible for providing technical support to the company's ISP network/POP in different locations to ensure stable, uninterrupted and quality internet service from the company's NOC up to the local POP's Cisco, Juniper, MikroTik router and switch, where required, from the local POP's router through the local distribution network up to subscribers.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

  1. Assess the feasibility of extending the company's network to the selected POP location.

  2. Assist in planning connectivity between the company's POP/NOC and new POP premises.

  3. Verify technical readiness before commissioning a new POP.

  4. Coordinate installation, configuration and testing of network equipment.

  5. Ensure uninterrupted connectivity from the company's NOC/core network to the partner's MikroTik/router.

  6. Troubleshoot link-down, packet-loss, latency, bandwidth, routing and connectivity-related problems.

  7. Coordinate with the NOC team for resolution of backbone, upstream, routing and other core-network issues.

  8. Verify that POP’s routers are properly configured and operating according to company standards.

  9. Maintain records of POP-wise technical information, network configuration and equipment details.

  10. Assist in identifying network bottlenecks, faulty equipment, poor-quality cabling and other causes of service degradation.

  11. Guide local POP team regarding proper network architecture, redundancy and preventive maintenance. &

  12. Conduct field visits where remote troubleshooting is insufficient.
