Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Fire & Safety Engineering / Mechanical Engineering / Industrial Safety or related field.
Professional certification in Fire & Safety Management (preferred).
Minimum 7–10 years of experience in Fire & Safety Management.
Strong knowledge of national fire safety codes, factory act, and buyer compliance requirements.
Strong knowledge of RSC/Accord/Alliance safety standards, labor laws, and compliance protocols.
Should have Fire Safety Officer Course from FSCD.
Strong leadership, supervision, and crisis management skills.
Hands-on knowledge of firefighting equipment and safety management systems.
Excellent communication skills to train and motivate factory staff.
Ability to work under pressure and respond quickly during emergencies.
Problem-solving attitude with strong documentation ability.
Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Responsibilities & Context:
Job Context
We are looking for a highly skilled and proactive Asst. Manager (Fire & Safety) to ensure compliance with all fire safety regulations, occupational health standards, and factory safety protocols. The ideal candidate must have experience in industrial fire safety management, preferably in the textile, Dyeing, Printing or Washing sector. The role involves implementing preventive measures, coordinating fire safety drills, and ensuring compliance with local and international safety standards such as RSC/Accord/Alliance.
Job Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and monitor fire safety policies, emergency response plans, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Ensure compliance with local laws, buyer requirements, and factory certifications (Accord/Alliance, RSC, ISO, etc.).
- Supervise maintenance and functionality of all fire safety systems and equipment in the workplace
- Conduct regular fire drills, training, and awareness sessions for workers and staff.
- Inspect and maintain all firefighting equipment’s, hydrants, sprinklers, detectors, and emergency exits.
- Lead fire prevention audits and risk assessments, ensuring corrective actions are implemented on time.
- Liaise with fire service authorities, compliance teams, and buyers during audits/inspections.
- Supervise a fire safety team, ensuring proper deployment of fire wardens and safety personnel.
- Prepare fire safety reports and documentation for management and buyer compliance.
- Investigate and report any fire or safety-related incidents with preventive measures.
