Job Context:
The Manager – Production (Sewing) is responsible for planning, organizing, and controlling all sewing production activities to achieve daily, weekly, and monthly production targets while maintaining required quality standards, productivity, efficiency, and on-time shipment. The role requires strong leadership to ensure smooth production flow, optimum manpower utilization, cost control, and compliance with company policies and buyer requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage all sewing production activities to achieve production targets and shipment schedules.
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production plans in coordination with the Production Head, IE, Cutting, Finishing, Technical, and Planning teams.
Ensure smooth production flow by balancing sewing lines and allocating manpower efficiently.
Monitor line efficiency, productivity, DHU, absenteeism, and production performance on a regular basis.
Analyze production bottlenecks and implement corrective actions to improve output and efficiency.
Ensure garments are produced according to approved specifications, quality standards, and buyer requirements.
Coordinate with Quality, Technical, Cutting, Finishing, Maintenance, and Industrial Engineering departments to resolve production issues.
Ensure proper implementation of operation bulletins, line layouts, and production methods.
Minimize production losses, alterations, rework, rejection, and fabric wastage.
Monitor machine utilization and coordinate preventive maintenance to minimize downtime.
Conduct hourly production follow-up and ensure achievement of hourly targets.
Review production reports and prepare daily management reports.
Ensure compliance with Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Ensure compliance with factory rules, health & safety requirements, and buyer Codes of Conduct.
Support pre-production meetings, pilot runs, style changeovers, and capacity planning.
Maintain discipline, motivation, and teamwork within the production department.
Participate in root cause analysis and implement CAPA for production-related issues.
Perform any other production-related responsibilities assigned by management.
