• Strong experience in Woven and Knit.

• Must have current experience in a Buying House.

• Proven experience in leading merchandising teams and handling international buyers independently.

• Excellent knowledge of costing, sourcing, production planning, and supply chain.

• Strong leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.

• Excellent English communication (written and spoken).

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple buyers simultaneously.

A reputed local apparel buying house is seeking an experienced Senior Manager / AGM – Merchandising to lead its merchandising team. This is a strategic leadership role for a highly motivated professional with strong buyer management skills, commercial understanding, and proven experience in handling end-to-end merchandising operations.

1. Lead and manage the merchandising department to ensure smooth order execution.

2. Develop and maintain strong relationships with international buyers.

3. Handle buyer inquiries, product development, costing, price negotiation, order confirmation, and shipment follow-up.

4. Coordinate with factories, sourcing, QA, planning, and commercial teams to ensure on-time delivery.

5. Monitor production status and resolve merchandising-related issues proactively.

6. Identify new business opportunities and support business growth.

7. Guide and mentor merchandising team members to improve performance.

8. Ensure compliance with buyer requirements, quality standards, and delivery schedules.

9. Prepare business reports and present merchandising updates to management.
